QTR-1 is a short-term, technology-focused credential built against the criteria Ohio TechCred and comparable state workforce programs publish. NIST NICE-aligned, two-year validity, verifiable. Approval is not yet confirmed, so check the current program guidance before you apply.
Approval status: QTR-1 is not currently an approved TechCred credential. It is built against the program's published criteria and we are pursuing approval, but employers should confirm eligibility with the TechCred program directly before committing to an application or a purchase.
Ohio TechCred reimburses employers up to $2,000 per employee per credential, up to $30,000 per employer per round. QTR-1 is structured against the criteria the program publishes. We have not yet completed an approval determination, so treat the mapping below as preparation for an application rather than confirmation of eligibility.
This mapping is provided to support a TechCred or similar application. Module references below correspond to the QTR-1 curriculum.
Decide how many employees will take QTR-1. Most TechCred cycles open quarterly. ScanLikely seats are valid until used and can be reassigned before claim.
Purchase the number of seats you'll need. We email a paid invoice with employer name, seat count, and credential details suitable for grant attachments.
List the credential as ScanLikely QR Code Threat Recognition & Response (QTR-1), issued by ScanLikely, Inc., $350 per employee, validity 2 years. Download the application kit below for the exact copy.
Invite employees to claim their seats. They complete five modules and the proctored exam. Each receives a downloadable certificate with a public verification URL.
After completion, submit each employee's certificate ID and verification URL with your TechCred reimbursement request.
